Have you ever seen the mist in Spain? I love it. It’s like being in a Tim Burton film, never knowing what to expect right in front of you. And I knew it wouldn’t disappoint Estela and Jesus. So that’s where we went for their pre-wedding shoot.
We met up one day when it was forecast to be misty in Malaga. And it didn’t let us down.
We started to feel the chills as we climbed the mountain towards the Torcal de Antequera. We parked there and found the start of the hiking trail. There were a few people in front of us who showed us the way. Then all of a sudden, they disappeared. You couldn’t see anything beyond 4 metres in front of you. There were no posters or signs and you could hardly tell when day turned to night.
All you could see was fog. Or should I say: NOTHING.
It’s what makes this place so amazing. It’s dreamlike on misty days and so unique when there are clear skies, like we had in this other photo shoot.
As we kept walking, the air humidity (which was 100%) soaked us. The floor was slippery, the cameras were getting wet and our hair was dripping. By the time we got to the car, we were drenched. Soaked through and through in 9ºC cold (and it was the middle of May and the beach was 19ºC).
We had so much fun. It was an afternoon to just disconnect, escape from our mundane tasks, get in the car with Arya (their little dog) and drive towards Antequera.
